Who we are

Jade-S Fisheries is a family-run fishing business in Jersey, Channel Islands. This policy explains what information this website handles and what happens to it. If you have any questions, contact us at hello@jadesfisheries.je or speak to us at the van or the counter.

What we collect and why

When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, phone number and, if you choose delivery for eligible items, your delivery address. We use these details only to prepare your order, take payment, and contact you about it.

When you send us a message through the wholesale or contact forms, we use what you send us to reply. We do not add you to marketing lists and we never sell or share your details for advertising.

Payments

You pay when you collect your order, by card or cash. Card payments at the van and counter are handled by SumUp, a regulated payment provider; your card details are never seen or stored by us.

Cookies and similar technologies

This site does not use any advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.

Your shopping basket is saved in your own browser's storage (called localStorage) so it is still there if you come back. It stays on your device and is never sent to us until you place an order. Dismissing the cookie notice is remembered the same way.

The maps on our contact page and the fonts on the site are loaded from Google, which means your browser shares your IP address with Google and Google may set cookies within the embedded map. You can read more in Google's privacy policy.

How long we keep things

We keep order information for as long as we need it for our accounts and legal obligations, then delete it. Messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with them.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 you can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@jadesfisheries.je and we will sort it out. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner (jerseyoic.org).

Changes

If we change this policy, the new version will appear on this page with a new date at the top.
